Diesel Cars Set to Increase Share of North American Market

The light duty market in North America is broadly defined as vehicles with a gross weight of 14,000 lb 96,350 kg) or less. Around 17 million of these are sold annually in the US alone, but only about 500,000 are powered by diesel engines. Global Emissions Management looks at the reasons for the imbalance between gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, and investigates potential changes in the coming years.
