NOx Adsorber Developments for Diesel Emissions Control

For light and heavy-duty diesels, catalytic systems can supplement the nitrogen oxides (NOx) control offered by engine-related measures. So called NOx Adsorber Catalysts (NAC) can offer NOx conversion efficiencies in excess of 90% over a wide temperature window. This article summarises a Johnson Matthey technical paper presented at the SAE World Congress, which outlines improvements in NAC performance.
